Orders from BestBuy (BB) - no shipment yet - pre-order 2-day period too short IMHO - Guild Wars Forums

I've ordered from BB 10 days ago and still haven't received notification of shipment. Seems like a lot of other online retailers have already shipped the retail package.

I know I can enter the game 1 day early with my pre-release which I picked-up at BB but it's only during 2 days - then am out of luck if BB only decideds to ship on the 28th via UPS ground - that is pretty dumb if you ask me because you order early and only get to receive the package a week after the servers open (cos UPS ground sucks) - sure I always had a choice but it would have nice to extend the pre-order keys over more than 2 days (1 week for instance) and make sure some of the pre-order people don't get left out of the fun because they don't get their retail version until a week after the online server open...

I guess I should have gone the EB route...

Amazon didn't ship mine yet either, hope they'll do it tomorrow tho, Amazon in Germany's quite fast so it may be here till the 28th or 29th, if not I'll go insane and end up as a mental wrack.

Never preorder games from a store like Bestbuy, CompUSA or Amazon. If you want a game anywhere near release, go to a specialty store like Gamestop/EB. I already have my game box, EB shipped it yesterday and I got it this morning.

I definitely agree. I placed my order on EBGames at about 12:30AM EDT on 4/25/2005, EBGames shipped it about 9:30PM the same day, UPS origin scanned it about 1:30AM on 4/26/2005 and I had it at 10:00 AM on 4/26/2005. Now I just need to wait about 11 1/2 hours yet.

Damn - this is impressive - Well I could still go and pick-up a store copy if I have not received it yet by the pre-order key expires and then sell on ebay the one coming from BB - kinda sucks but eh...don't want to miss the week-end

gamestop and others clearly stated a shipping date of the 26th and to allow an additional 1-2 days prep and transit time as well
